This class introduces students to forgotten and overlooked changemakers in our history. We'll explore stories of Utah women who made their mark on U.S. history as suffragists, civil rights leaders, community organizers, and lawmakers by analyzing cartoons, listening to podcasts, and learning from artists

0.25 Japanese Language Credit | 0.25 World Civilizations Credit
This class will use Japanese anime and language as a springboard to analyze, critique, and connect with Japanese values as students compare them with their own.
A blend of online and 3 Saturday face-to-face sessions

Learn about American History through the feet of those whose steps we rarely get to hear in traditional history books.

0.25 World Civilization Credit
Dates: June 14 & 15*
We will explore the Renaissance through hands-on art projects. Students will explore 8 different fonts of calligraphy, create handwritten envelopes, design a glass frosted mirror, make original works of art, and leave with a final piece of art.

Dates: June 24 & 25*
In this course, students will explore the beginnings of the United States through exploring our own Utah landscape. We will examine the geography of Utah and consider how it impacted the lives of the Indigenous peoples of the state by hiking the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and visiting the Natural History Museum of Utah.
