More About Class

We will explore the Renaissance through hands-on art projects. Students will explore 8 different fonts of calligraphy, create handwritten envelopes, design a glass frosted mirror, make original works of art, and leave with a final piece of art. The online portion of the class will explore the Renaissance, the black plague, and the transformation of Europe during the 1300’s to the 1700s.

Class Schedule Breakdown
This course will take place in 4 online sessions and 4 in-person sessions over a period of 4 weeks. More information will be provided after enrollment.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this class. Some prior information about the renaissance would be helpful but not necessary.

Projects/Assignments
Students will display competency by creating a final slideshow, essay, or presentation. Each week, students will also create a calligraphy piece that they can take home.
