More About Class

This class introduces students to forgotten and overlooked changemakers in our history. We'll explore stories of Utah women who made their mark on U.S. history as suffragists, civil rights leaders, community organizers, and lawmakers by analyzing cartoons, listening to podcasts, and learning from artists. Then we'll take to the streets of Salt Lake City to look at how women are represented (or not) in our public memorials and monuments. We'll also create our own artistic representations of historical Utah women. No prior art experience necessary.
