Emily Glende
Emily was born to be a teacher. She loves spending time with her students because of their ideas, perspectives, and energy. She believes education is the key to a more just and equitable world.
When she isn't teaching, Ms. Glende enjoys traveling, dining at new restaurants, exploring the canyons of Utah, and going to the movies.
Emily has been teaching history for seven years. She received a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Utah and an M.A. in American History and Government from Ashland University.

In this course, students will explore America’s Civil rights struggle. Students will come to understand the complexities of this movement through debunking common myths, analyzing the multiple visions for achieving equality, and connecting the past to the present.
