Visit Arts Elevated Here.

Through Arts Elevated, Lifehouse dance students can earn school PE credit through the work they do in their dance classes.

Our program is carefully designed as a cooperation between Nesha Woodhouse and the Arts Elevated team PE specialist, Ariel Jordan, to help lift you as a dancer and team member. You'll receive PE instruction about dance health, safety, and performance.

The courses are designed to coordinate with your dance classes which means most of the work will happen while you're dancing. Each 0.25 credit course is designed to only take about one hour per week for one month outside of dance class.

You'll be able to maximize the time of your busy schedule to get ahead or make up school work. Imagine how great it will feel to dance your way to finishing your PE credits.

Make the most of your dance education and start earning credit today!

Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy offers classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, and musical theater.  Several alumni of Lifehouse have received college scholarships and danced with numerous collegiate and professional companies including BYU’s Theater Ballet, BYU’s Contemporary Dance Theater, BYU’s Cougarettes, BYU’s Young Ambassadors, UVU’s Synergy, UVU’s Repertory Ballet Ensemble, Odyssey, RDT and many more.

At Lifehouse, we have chosen to focus on building strong, technical artists and producing beautiful shows rather than competing.  Students have several opportunities throughout the year to perform in theaters in professional productions.  To see a highlight reel of some of our shows, watch this link on You-Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUXSZNRycQ4.

At Lifehouse, we train using a progressive syllabus.  Our goal for the students isn’t just to mimic movement but to master the elements that build a strong dancer.  We teach our dancers to work correctly.  This is what makes dance beautiful-when you see someone who has fine-tuned their instrument, moving with proper alignment, form, and technique.   We use a progressive syllabus to ensure that from the very beginning our dancers are learning to move correctly.

The studio is called Lifehouse because dance is the vehicle through which we get to teach valuable life lessons that will benefit the student throughout their life.  At Lifehouse, we strive to integrate the following values into our student’s training.

  • Who I am is more important than what I can do.

  • If it doesn’t challenge me, it doesn’t change me.

  • I will not fear the truth, for that is how I become all that I am meant to be.

  • I do not dance for the praise of others, I dance to seek the power within me.

  • I will focus on my own potential, and not worry how I compare to others.

  • My body is a gift, through movement, I will use it to uplift and inspire others.

  • It is not the critic who counts. It is the person brave enough to share a part of themselves on the stage, under the spotlight that truly matters.

  • This is a safe-haven. In these walls, we treat each other with kindness and respect.
