ROBI is proud to partner with Realms of Inquiry. Realms offers Day Camps and Sleep-Away Camps that will meet on campus and travel to their destinations. Registered campers will receive an email with the required forms to be completed and signed, as well as a list of items to bring.

WILDERNESS NAVIGATION

& FIELD SCIENCE DAY CAMP

JUNE 14-18

Instructors: Lindsay Mackintosh

& Allison Jaycox Coffman

Come explore the great outdoors! Each day will be a new adventure. This week we will be hiking, rock climbing, swimming in mountain lakes, foraging for edible plants, using maps and compasses, and geocaching. Campers will visit unique places while contributing to field research and experiencing firsthand the variety of biomes around the Salt Lake City area. This day camp meets from 8:30 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday.

FIND YOUR PATH DAY CAMP

JULY 5-9

Instructor: Brenda Straley

Campers will participate in different activities each day including rock climbing, canoeing, archery, volunteering, and animal experiences. There is also a mindfulness component that will help campers learn how to manage their stress and anxiety in these challenging times. This day camp meets from 8:30 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday.

FORENSIC SCIENCE AND CRIMINAL MINDS

JULY 12-16

9th-12th grade

Instructor: Brandon Palmer, Instructor at JATC South

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a crime scene investigator or in law enforcement? Campers will get hands-on experience in this day camp that meets Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Campers will explore forensic science and various aspects of criminal justice, including:

Crime Scene Investigation- DNA analysis, blood spatter, and fingerprinting

Self Defense & Arrest Control Tactics

Criminal Profiling- Techniques for creating psychological profiles based on behaviors

Law Enforcement Scenarios

Criminal Elements

This summer camp will provide participants with a greater understanding of forensic science, its role in the criminal justice system and exposure to STEM-related careers in law enforcement.
